Smt. Sajitha Kurup is Assistant professor of Sociology. She has done B.Sc in Zoology from Cochin College. She pursued her Post Graduation In Sociology from St. Teresa’s College and secured the First Rank In M.G. University in 1999. She worked as a Resource Person In Medical Trust Institute of Medical Sciences from 1999 to 2004.  She worked as a Guest Lecturer in St. Teresa’s College form 2005 t0 2009, and since December 2009 she became a permanent faculty member. She is currently pursuing her doctoral programme in St. Teresa’s College, under M.G. University. She is a member of U.G and P.G Board of Examinations, M.G.University She is a Resource Person  for the training programmes for Higher Secondary School Teachers. She was the Staff Advisor for the Quiz club, Debate club and Fine Arts Club. Her main areas of interest include Sociological Theory, Social Psychology, Crime and Society and Personality and counseling.
