The M.A. course in Bharathanatyam was inaugurated by Padmabhushan Shri V.P. Dhananjayan on 5 September 2012. The function was held at the Platinum Jubilee Auditorium.

Padmabhushan Shri V.P. Dhananjayan also held a performance class in connection with the event.

All University rankholders of B.A. Bharathanatyam (since 2005, with the first batch passing out) were felicitated. Padmabhushan Shri Dhananjayan gave out the awards.
