Sports

Teresians have contributed much to the sports history  of Kerala. The sports facilities at the college   are par excellence and sportspersons are given great encouragement here.     The excellent track record we have in sports and games stand testimony to this. The   facilities provided include a gymnasium, a separate Sports hostel and indoor sports facilties. Incentives for students who are active in sports include free accomodation in the Sports Hostel, special diet,  admission through sports quota, and prizes and endowments for outstanding performances.  

Many Teresian Sportsgirls have represented Ernakulam District, MG University and  Kerala State at the National Level in different sports and games. As a result of their sports performance, many girls are working in the Railways, Airforce, KSEB, etc.

The Volleyball, Kho-kho, Softball, Handball, Cricket, Tennis, Table Tennis, Shuttle Badminton teams regularly partcipate in MG University intercollegiete tournaments and Ernakulam District tournaments. And St. Teresa's stands tall  among other colleges of Kerala, if one takes into account the number of tournaments we have won in the past.

2003 - 2004

• Ajitha Kumari and Gini Varghese were selected to the State Soft Ball Team.
• Reshmi S.C. was selected as the Best Setter of the Ernakulam District Volley Ball Tournament.

2002 - 2003
Nineteen players were selected to various teams of Mahatma Gandhi University.

• Soumya M. Soman was the University Captain for Basket Ball.
• Cimi Jose Kavalakkat was selected to represent the State Basket Ball Team at the Senior Nationals and Federation cup and the team won III and II places respectively.
• Cimi Jose Kavalakkat represented Indian Junior Basket Ball Team at China.
• Reshmi S.C. and Usha Rani K.P. represented the State Volley Ball Team at the Women's Nationals and won II position.
• Ajitha Kumari and Dhanya Devassy were selected to the State Soft Ball Team.
• Jeeja Raju and Priya C got selection to the State Kho-Kho team and they represented the state at the Nationals.

2001 - 2002
Thirteen players were selected to various teams of Mahatma Gandhi University for Interuniversity competition. Five Basket Ball members represented Ernakulam in the inter-district Championship and won the first place. Four players represented Kerala State Soft Ball Team at the Senior Nationals. Six Volley Ball players were selected to represent the Ernakulam District. Two were selected for Junior Nationals.
