DEPARTMENT OF MALAYALAM

The Department of Malayalam was estasblished in 1925. It offers Second Language Course for B.A,B.Sc. and B.Com. students. About 415 students have taken Malayalam as second language.Two permanent faculty members are there in the department with holding Ph.D degree as highest qualification .One UGC sponsored Seminar have been successfully completed ..There have been a powerful Malayalam Association and an enriched malayalam Website named 'www.kalalayalam.in'.

1. Book releasing programme conducted by the Department of Malayalam: Book titiled "Bhoomipadangal" Written by Dr.sr. Helen A P and translated by Dr Saumya Baby.

2. Conduted One Day seminar on 'Modern Malayalam Poetry' as the part of Malayalam Association Inaguration ( Sri. S Joseph- Famous Malayalam Poet)

3. Celeberated the Kerala Day on November 1^st and arranged a talk on the subject " Malayala Bhashayude Pradhanyam" ( Dr. B Dhanalakshmi, Rtd. Prof. Maharaja's College, Ernakulam)
