To develop the Cultural and Aesthetic values of the students through learning  Malayalam Language and Literature.

DEPARTMENT ACTIVITIES

1. Book releasing programme conducted by the Department of Malayalam: Book titiled         "Bhoomipadangal" Written by Dr.sr. Helen A P and translated by Dr Saumya Baby.

2. Conduted One Day seminar on 'Modern Malayalam Poetry' as the part of Malayalam Association Inaguration ( Sri. S Joseph- Famous Malayalam Poet)

3. Celeberated the Kerala Day on November 1^st and arranged a talk on the subject " Malayala Bhashayude Pradhanyam" ( Dr. B Dhanalakshmi, Rtd. Prof. Maharaja's College, Ernakulam)

The Department of Hindi

Established in 1943 offers second language course for the students of BA/B.SC/B.COM. At present there are two permanent teachers n the department both with PhD degree and a guest lecturer who possesses  M.Phill degree. Two UGC sponsored minor project have been successfully completed. A national seminar sponsored by the Central Hindi Directorate ,Agra was Organised in February 2008.
