The Department of Malayalam Estasblished in 1925. It offers Second Language Course for B.A,B.Sc. and B.Com. students. Now there are 415 students have been studying Malayalam as second language.Two permanent faculty members are there in the department with holding Ph.D degree as highest qualification .One UGC sponsered Sminar have been successfully completed .Now one UGC National Seminar have been sanctioned on 12th May and it will be conduct in November 2011 .There have been a powerfull Malayalam Association and an enriched malayalam Website named 'www.kalalayalam.in'.

Established in 1943 offers second language course for the students of BA/B.SC/B.COM. At present there are two permanent teachers n the department both with PhD degree and a guest lecturer who possesses M.Phill degree. Two UGC sponsored minor project have been successfully completed. A national seminar sponsored by the Central Hindi Directorate ,Agra was Organised in February 2008.
