• Association Inauguration And Freshers Day -   29th June 2010 –
  The chief guest for the day was Ms Beena Sebastian, President, Cultural Academy For Peace. The theme for the Freshers Day was My Little Kingdom. Several entertainment progammes were put up by the students and refreshments were also served.
• An Interactive Session On Leadership Qualities -5th August 2010- Mr Renjith
• Independence Day Celebrations- 18th August 2010
  -Patriotic song competition
  -Tableau competition
• Teachers Day- 7th Sept-2010 –Red Roses were  given to all the teachers  and charts were put up in the department
• Eid Celebrations- 15th Sept 2010- An entertainment programme was put up by the students.
• World Elderly Day- 1st October 2010- A talk on Alzheimers Disease was delivered by Dr. Nisha Vikraman, Faculty, Department Of Home Science, for the students and staff of the department.
• World Computer Literacy Day- 24- November-2010- A teaching session on Basics Of Computer Application was done by Miss. Neha Navas, III B Sc Computers, St. Teresas college, for the degree students to help them do their projects, thesis and other presentations effectively.
• Home Science Week- 6th to 12th December- 2010- Various class wise competitions were held at the department and points were given for the winning classes and also for those who participated. An achievement chart was put up at the notice board where all the points marked. The list of competitions held is as follows:
  -Mehendi designing
  -Cake decoration
  -Plate designing
  -Vegetable jewellery
  -Dumsharads
  -60 seconds to fame
  -Poster designing
  -Fun quiz
  -Blitzkrieg
  -Treasure hunt
• Cleanliness Drive- This was a class wise competition held in connection with home science week, were students of different classes were allotted different areas of the department which they have to clean up themselves and make the area look neat and tidy and also use their creativity to make the place look more beautiful.
• Demonstration – 14th January 2011- A demonstration of the latest Usha Janome sewing machine was done, which gave the students various ideas and incentives for easy stitching and embroidery.
  

Craft Class- 24- November-2010- The III year students demonstrated various crafts for the I and II year students, like:
  - Tie and dye
  - Flower making using wheat flour and plastic cover
  - Wall hanging using bangles and net cloth
  -Basket making
