Dr. Tessy Anthony attended the Eighth International Humanities Conference held at University of California, Los Angeles, from 28th June to 2nd July. A paper titled ''The Ecological Philosophy of Denise Leverton" was presented during the conference. A paper titled "Decoding Advertising Story Telling: Children Subjects or objects" was also published in an international journal The Worcester Journal(Spring)
Talk on "Creative Writing" delivered by Smt. Preeti Kumar at NSS College, Cherthala in connection with their UGC aided Add-on course in English.
Dr. Latha Nair attended National Seminar on Voices from the New Millennium Writers organized and conducted by the Dept. of English and Research Centre, Sarah Tucker College, Tirunelveli. She was the resource person and presented a paper entitled "Language in contemporary Indian writers with special reference to Arundhati Roy".

17th Aug: Athulya Varghese, Amala Paul, Zuhra Kensha, Parween N A and Nikitha Shaji Thomas (II Communicative English) won the first place in the "Best Gang" Competition conducted by the Club FM 94.3 in association with the Hero Honda Pleasure.
18th Aug: Bibitha V Bobby, Namratha M Shenoy , Ammu Maria Tomy and Srilakshmi T R secured the third place in Dhoom 3 dance competition (All Kerala) held at Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium, Ernakulam.
19th Aug: I DC English Literature secured the first position in Kannan Devan Nature Club Pookalam competition held in connection with college Onam celebrations.
19th Aug: Mridula Murali (III DC Communicative English) was crowned "Ona Thilakam" for the college Onam celebrations.
20th Aug: Radhalakshmy (II MA English Literature) participated in the Dissertation, Presentation Competition conducted by the MG university at Deva Matha College, Kuruvilangad. She won the second prize for the dissertation titled "Accepting the Benign Indifference: Existentialism Vs Absurdim in the Albert Camus "The Outsider".
