-Maria Mathew and Alif Nazrin of I B.A.Economics Presented a Paper  on "The Glass Ceiling: A Challenge to Women's Participation in decision-making bodies in Universities" in the International Conference on Critical Women : Women as Agents of Change through Higher Education organised by the Association of Commonwealth Universitiies and the Centre for Gender Studies-University of Kelaniya ,held at the Cinnamon Grand,Colombo,Sri Lanka from March 6-8,2012.

-Akhila Kumaran (I M.A.Economics) Participated in the International seminar on Economic Slumps:a challenge to Indian Economy and Presented a Paper on global crisis-a challenge to Indian Economy held at Fathima Matha National College,Kollam on November 10th 2011

- (I M.A.Economics) Students participated in the National seminar on "Emerging trends in the Capital market in India" held at St.Paul's College ,Kalamassery on 20th and 21st October 2011

-Akhila Kumaran (I M.A.Economics) & Shreshta (I B.A.Economics)Participated and Presented a Paper on Climate and Gender aspect on Nutrition in the Two day National Seminar on Climate change and India -A Gender Disaggregated Approach" ,August 25th and 26th 2011 at B K College For Women,Amalagiri,Kottayam

-Maria Mathew and Sreelakhmi of I B.A.Economics participated in the National Seminar on European Economic Crisis and its Implications for India and Presented a Paper on Soverign Debt crisis  held at Baselius College,Kottayam on August 4th and 5th 2011

-Silpa Joseph and Alif Nazrin of I B.A.Economics participated in the State Level seminar on Education and Women empowerment and Presented a Paper on Political Empowerment of Women held at Morning Star Homescience college on July 28th and 29th 2011

Co-curriculuar

-V.R.Vachana (II B.A.Economics) was awarded the University Women's Association Cochin Award for the Best Debator  for the Academic year 2011-2012

-Jeena K (I B.A.Economics) won the first place in the quiz competition Organised by Kerala State Electricity Board

-Shine Brigit (II B.A.Economics) participated for the Essay competition conducted by the Kanayannur Circle Co-operative Union,and won the Second place and was selected to the district level competition

-V.R.Vachana (II B.A.Economics) and Maria Mathew(I B.A.Economics) participated for the inter-collegiate debate on Population and Environment organised by  the Indian Association of Parlimentarians on Population and Development,New Delhi and Mahatma Gandhi University on 14th September 2011.
-V.R.Vachana was awarded the individual Third prize with a certificate and a cash award of Rs.1500/-

-V.R.Vachana of II B.A.Economics participated in the inter-college debate on population and environment organized by Indian Association of Parliamentarians on Population and Development, New Delhi and MG University , Kottayam on 14th September 2011 at MG university and was awarded the third prize with a certificate and a cash award of Rs,1,500/-.

-Anjali Mathew and V.R.Vachana of II B.A.Economics attended the Sargapadam Literary Fest at S.H.College,Thevara

-Maria Mathew ,Asha Jose, Jean Mary Aruja ,Riya Joseph participated in the quiz competition , and Anjali Nambeesan ,Pooja Dilip participated in the  poster competition conducted by District medical office in celebration of World Population Fortnight.

-Maria Mathew secured first and Anjali Nambeesan secured Second in the competition.

-Silpa Vipen (II B.A.Economics) was elected as Vice -Chariperson for the College Union 2011-12
